Problem with steering at low speed - 182

I have this grinding noise from the o/s/f when l reverse slowly off my drive with a lot of lock on.Its been to Renault for the modification to the top mounts and this worked for a while.Now the noise is back...has been for a while.But if l go to some flat ground and put full lock on and move slowly the care feels as though the wheels coming loose or something is very badly worn.Its only done 24k and Birchdown did the service just 6 months and never spotted anything.

Do you suggest l let them have a look or are there any checks l can do to locate the problem as nothing looks wrong and the car drive right?

The steering germoetry is shite on full lock. Could this not just be the normal tyre skipping? Are the tyres very low on tread? It's worse when they are.

They have lots of tread left.

I just wonder if something needs greasing...the 182 is not like my 205 Gti...l knew every nut and bolt and could solve problems easy.

Yep they apparently did it on mine 3 times... It still does it now. More of a rattle yeah? Mine does it at slow speed on full lock nad just makes a weird kind of rattling/rubbing.

Same here.It sounds like the spring is twisting and scraping on the top mount.It's a real fucker as the only thing that has ever gone wrong in 3 years was the engine temp sensor had to be changed under warranty as l broke down in the middle of nowhere near Ripon a week after buying it

I took the car to Birchdown this morning (great service as usual) but they have found nothing wrong at all. They've checked everything and nothing is loose,broken or worn.

I just have to let this develop although it doesn't seem to be getting worse.

mine does the same mate - only on full lock though and its not that bad.

Mine does this, at low speeds i.e. parking. It sounds almost like a metallic ticking/clinking noise, a bit like a spring scraping but not quite as harsh.
