Problem with the 182 replica. throttle body?

Heya guys, massive problems with the car. was driving up the duel last nite and had a slow learner infront of me, put my foot down to overtake and when i hit about 4500rpm the car cut out on me, it didnt turn off, but slowed me right down to 2000rpm and i didnt have no throttle. the warning light came up on the dash, the on just below the fuel light, looks like a heart monitor with a curly line underneth it. i pulled it, and shut it off, restarted it, and it was stuck on 2000rpm and i had no throttle. shut it off for 5 minutes and started it, it was fine again :S and the light had gone off.
i pulled off and as soon as i hit 4500rpm again it did the same.

i have a friend who i know who works for renault who came down today and plugged his clipper in, came up as 3 faults.

Throttle body
throttle pedal sensor
ecu fault

it didnt come up as these but thats what the renault guy explained it as.

just wondering if any1's had the same fault as he said hes experienced it a few times with the clio's.

he said it could be the wirering, so he's going to check that 1st. if not, it could be either the sensor and the pedal (best case), the trottle body might need replacing (quoted me roughly £300??) or ecu fault (worst case)

any advice would be great on the problem and on the price iv been given for the throotle body and iv seen them on ebay for £70.

loom or coil problems ? if itd of been the 1.2 16v itd of been an easy fix. sounds like the problem i used ot have with mine.

Anyways i dont know where everything is on the f4r.

id buy a new throttle body, its the most expensive, and most likely to be the problem, also its the easier to take back and pretend you ddin't use it,

i went the other way around, brought a new pedal, but that didn't fix it, and as the pedal's shiny it got scratched easily, so coudln't really take it back. but the throttle body its only 4 bolts, and a plug and can't really get messed up. just fit it without scratchign it and open the selophane envelope so you can heat it shut again ie cut the bottom of take throttle body out, try it, if not the problem stick it back in the bag, get a red hot knife and seal the package back up

Might be worth checking that, I had a similar problem and it solved it. I've also got a spare 182 throttle body that i'll be selling if you want it.
