Problems fitting new headunit

I just purchased a Update List Headunit off ebay, have fitted it but nothing coming up on screen to input code etc

Any ideas?

Did you originally have an Update List HU in your car?

As you cannot swap between Tuner List and Update List...


If not, then the unit will probably be faulty. Or you have not connected the screen/stalk plug back in?

Yeah I've taken a tuner list one out. The dash lights up but the message to enter code doesn't appear. I thought a few people on the site had changed from tuner to update!!

No they use a different system.

So cannot swap between them.

Thats a bit gutting. Now I have no stereo as can't find code for original one

The only 4 digit number i can see in the book is one that says :
CAR: ****
