problems wit 1.4 clio

im having while bother wit my clio atm
its a 1.4 16v.
and my mots this saturday
the engine management light is never done coming on.
And there is another light.. cudn't even tell u what it is
but its the middle.. its like a wee screen and it only restricts my car to 2000 revs.
Its revn' up to 2000 revs when the car is sittin idle.
any ideas what this cud b?

get bck asap so i can get it sorted

your car is in safe mode (sometimes called limp mode). It means it's got a big fault reading from somewhere. It's really difficult to get an idea of exactly what is up until you actually have it plugged in at a garage. Once plugged in the ECU can tell you what it's unhappy about.

If you want someone to have a wild stab in the dark, then....coilpack..... but it's just not worth doing anything until you've had it plugged in.

....and 'with' has an 'h'

Apologises for my bad spelling lol.
We already hooked it up to the ECU and i've had the coilpacks changed.
New sparks plugs in it.
And still no change :/

A renault garage told me it was the coilpack so i got them changed but still no difference... Any other ideas?

I would go back and rant at the garage and make them take another look, because obviously they have diagnosed it wrong apart from the good old rant at the mechanic ive got no ideas, sorry

i say clios r shite lol.
its been playin up for the past 4 months nw.
and im only gettin round to fixing it nw cos my mots up nw on saturday lol.
if it doesn't rev on the day and its running alrite then hopefully it'll pass.
if nt i'll burn the b*****d lol.
