I recently fitted a new Alpine dva-9861ri head unit to my clio but i am abit unsure weather the hu is powering up the amplified ariel or not. I seem to find that the radio reception tends to break up intermitenly.
I noticed that even though the Alpine has a standard iso connector, companys do sell adaptors which will change the wires on the car to match the hu. The hu keeps the stations ok after the ignition is turnd off but wonderd weather the French put the ariel power lead on a none standard point on the iso plug if you know what i mean.
Also what colour is this wire at the head unit end so i can test and trace it back to the ariel base.
