Probs with rear numberplate light

  1.5dci65 Dyn/Billabong
Had a problem last year with my rear light, the connections had coroded so had to retro-fit a whole new light, however it's gone again, haven't checked to see whether its corroded again, hoping it's just the bulb, anyone have probs like this? and is there any way to stop the damn thing from corroding?!

Yep, very common. I had problems with corroded connectors in the plug and light fitting. (clio172) You can try to clean up the contacts/connectors to see if that helps. If it works, smear the lot in Vaseline ;), its a non conductor and will keep out the water

thats what was up with my old one, if this one's gone too gonna be another scrap yard and retro-fit job, with the addition of vaseline ;) lol
