Programs to completely destroy internet history?

Which programs out there can completely destroy history and temporary files so that the data is non-retrievable? Free would be nice too

Comp seems really slow and i want something that will erase all unnecessary hidden files as well as internet stuff.

Found a really good one called R-Wipe & Clean but unfortunately it's only a 15 day free trial.
