Project Cars 2 Time Trial Challenge February 18

Winner for January was @Tomotek so he gets to pick February's car and track which is:

Mclaren 650S GT3 at Imola

Guidelines:
1. At the start of each month a track and car are chosen by the driver with the fastest time from the previous month. If the same driver is fastest two months in a row then the track/car choice falls to the next fastest driver. The car & track should be chosen within a few days of the start of the month.
2. Keep to short tracks (<3 miles) so that it doesn't take too long to try and set a good time.
3. DLC cars not allowed.
4. Times must be set in time trial mode, not free practice or any other mode.
5. Entries should include what platform, controller (wheel or pad) and options were used - i.e. ABS, traction control and stability control.
6. Entries to be backed up by leaderboard link, screenshot or video.

Good luck!

Will give this a bash, really hate the Caterhams especially playing on the wheel, so I only gave the last one a quick shot before I rage quit because I'm pathetic lol

Aye deleted it as know one entered. Its on my leaderboards though.

Although my wheel & pedals, seat and PC2 game will be up for sale soon as online is full of morons, and single player is terrible! Got bored of this game very quickly!

Such a shame that the online community ruin it so much. It has the potential for being great - as do the majority of racing games.

I really don't know why these people buy the ultimate racing sim just to crash into everyone, even the experienced lot do it. God forbid a newbie has more skill than an experienced user, little nudge from behind every time under braking. Pointless, I constantly leave the game frustrated.

We've had this conversation at work regarding the 'paramount' need for multiplayer stuff, when games that offer various cooperative play are far more enjoyable. I'm not quite sure how they would implement that in online racing - maybe a points bonus for each lap that the pair of drivers accumulated in their own cars? Not realistic I guess - and you'd still have the opposing bell-ends wanting to take you out.

I think I mentioned previously that a trainer on a course I went on, was actively into his online racing. An older chap too - but he regularly went online once a week to partake in a competitive race. Semi-serious too - with practice laps and restricted modifications of the car. I can't recall if they were assigned a car type randomly by the event organiser the previous week - or if they were allowed to choose from a class list - but I do recall them making an effort to reduce favouritism for one particular make/model. Sounded really quite good overall.

Yeah I'm in a few communities and the racing is a lot better, but you find that there's a lot of waiting around. e.g recently they stated the race lobby will open at 7:30 and the race start at 8, the race started at 8:30 , so I wasted over an hour before even getting on track.

Yeah I know what you mean, they even have the ranking system now to try to prevent that, but still no body cares.. they can’t win without hitting someone

You want to get on iRacing or rFactor2 so much better..

I just raced in a 12hr race around road Atlanta at the weekend!, only two of us did the whole race, the level of the competition is great and everyone respects each other

Our team is PRO-AM Racing

It’s produced by Virtually Entertained and they have great commentary too

If you have a spare 12hrs, there’s the link
