If you have time head over the www.Gametrailers.com and watch the first new Bonus Round Video. It's about 15mins long and it's a report from E3 covering the new control systems (Kinect and Move) and what they actually think of them. (can't post the link cos I'm at work at the site is blocked)
Dare I say it (as a 360 owner) but the actual games for the Move seem to be better and more like actual games than those child like Wii games for Kinect

same as me, I've been thinking about chopping in for an Elite for a good few months then this one has turned up so makes sense to get one to me.
The "upgrade" argument is exactly the same as that of the iPhone. I had a 3G and upgraded to the 4. It has a nicer screen and better camera but using it and 95% of what it actually does is the same as the 3G. Still done it though. It's they way things work as far as tech is concerned. If no-one bought the upgrades then nothing would be upgraded.

My missus looked at it and got it spot on - it's the same size as an argos book! (but taller obviously).
THE reason to get this is the noise - its silent, so nice to not have it hoovering away.
Just transferred all my data over so the old one is officially retired - mine is an original albeit repaired via microsoft when it red ringed.
I actually hate elites, I have 3 mates and and my brother that has one and they are silly loud, much more so than the original, the replacement board I had in mine was much quieter.
Even when a discs spins up it doesn't sound like a leaf blower anymore!
I guess if you recently got an elite then don't bother unless you need the extra space but for anyone tempted to upgrade from an original premium or arcade do it!

No, I didn't realise it wouldn't copy over full game installs so there was no point - all my info, avatar stuff saved games profile 'just' came in at under 9GB so I used my pen drive to copy it over.
To be honsest I'd advise anyone to do that instead, for the price of a transfer cable go out and buy a 16GB memory stick - MUCH more useful, once you've used that transfer cable thats it, you can't use it again as your're getting rid of the old harddrive it connects to!

oh didn't think of that! I've only got a 2gb stick though and my 20gb drive is pretty much full (although thats becasue I've got Mass Effect installed on it due to the disc being scratchd which is about 6gb on it's own) . Could take a while to transfer the lot using the stick! lol still, better than spending £15 on a cable I'll only use once!
