project tidy ups !

hi all, im going to be doing bits and bobs to my dads astra mk4 1.7 dti and my girlfriends 1.2 mk2 clio which is my daily

1st up the astra:
140,000 miles
loads of service,reciepts etc
owned for 7 years by last owner
very very clean

my mate had some corsa c sri's on his corsa b and was offered £350 and some 17'' alloys with good tyres on so he took it. mates rates i bought em for £40. wolfrace katana. bit chavvy but for £40 couldnt say no

my dad then got the windows done medium rear light fronts for £120.
thats all the mods for now, plans consist:
alloys DONE
tints DONE
irmy replica grill
smoked front lights
cd player
chav sunstrip
sri rear spoiler
new timing belt
new spark plugs

thats all thats getting done, possibly a 40mm drop but not sure yet

clio:
73,000 miles
bit chavvy

its already had done:
lowered, have no idea how much though, would like to go a tad lower
laguna front splitter
spoiler

plans:
x2 part worn 205/45/16 tyres for the front
get nail removed from rear/repaired
x2 rear wheel bearings
new spark plugs
new timing belt
new uprated ht leads
new air filter, not sure what though, has a gay universal one on at the moment
get spoiler removed
get alloys repainted anthracite
backbox, centre section removed and decat put in
standard rear lights
hid's
french pressed plates
8k hid's
wind deflectors
chav sunstrip

probably a few other things

i will upload some pictures soon, im going to underseal and hammerite the clios arches ready for the winter on saturday and the alloys will be coming off today for new tyres and to be painted.

any comments and idea's are welcome. i know nothing about clio's, more help the better

clio looks not bad, i would personally remove the spoiler, possibly replace with a 172 equivalent, could get one from a scrappy for £15 - same as dynamique (clear brake light), change the front splitter to megane mk1 or fabia and get a set of 172 alloys in anthracite, job done and not a lot of money, this colour always looks well!! IMO

im deffo getting the spoiler removed but just leaving it not replacing it.
splitter will be staying, iv always lowered all my cars silly amounts, i love the attention when it catches on speedbumps and this just scrapes so il leave it.
i did try for some clio sport alloys but gave up so my mates refurbing these anthracite for me around next week. pictures will be up

can you tell me what hid's i'll need? h1 or h7?

not much of an up date but clio is going in for the rear wheels bearings done very soon

new window tints and the alloys:

not much is happening but alloys are coming off the clio ready for 2 new tyres and resprayed anthracite then both cars will be getting a new oil filter and castrol oil and clio will be getting the tracking done once alloys go back on

theyre azev a's look alright i suppose, should look better once resprayed
theyre standards but previous chav owner has painted on them to give off a bad boy boot look. deffo not my cup of tea

been buying bits and bobs for the clio

service kit includes: air filter,oil filter,fuel filter and 1 gallon of oil. £20 mates rates
got some spark plugs and a headlight bulb went out so bought some of these:

should be better than the dull originals

bought 2 rear wheel bearings aswell hoping to get it all fitted on the weekend
next up is the discs and pads then tracking

im also looking into buying some 172 alloys so these alloys are for sale, message me if interested

mates just popped there and dropped off my service parts

been told its £30 for discs and pads so will be getting them soon then thats the mechanical side.
been quoted £30 for the spoiler removed/repaired so thats also on the cards

bulbs came for the clio today so got them fitted. much better !!
should be servicing it on saturday and hoping the wheel bearings get done

imon the look out for some 172 alloys and 172 spoiler so if any1 is selling either let me know !

get some acetone free nailvarnish remover on those rear lights. should strip that paint right off, i know it removes tint spray in seconds. (make sure its acetone free otherwise it could ruin the plastic. id reccomend applying it with cotton wool.

wey clio is getting a service tomorrow
hoping to pick up some 172 alloys with tyres for £140. alloys on the car are now for sale !

wey managed to fit the oil filter,spark plugs,anti freeze yesterday. got a few pics nowt exciting.

alloys were on ebay, sold for £113:/ i really thought they were worth more. so looking for some 172 alloys and bidding on a more subtle spoiler

update iv been wanting for a while just bought a sport spoiler so i can finally get this chav wing off. will upload pics asap once its arrived

just collected some 16'' clio 172 alloys with 195/45/16 tyres on. i've got a dark grey colour with a glitter shine init (custom colour) im going to have them done that with the renault badge the same colour as the car.
iv also ordered some plain black seat covers as i noticed a horrible rip in the drivers seat, its purely just to cover the rip up until after christamas i might invest in some 172 half leathers.
im also bidding on a twin 3'' inward rolled tip magnex backbox.
