Project White PH1!

i was gunna order a pair of those seats, i got the harnesses about a year ago. I sat in the normal size one at autosport and it was horrible, got stuck and im skinny! Think it was a M the larger one is XL isnt it? Sabelt do several sizes but RS only list 2. Did you get the side mounts from R Sport aswell?
Will be interested to see what it looks like and how it fits in these clios

Yeah i ordered the side mounts also, they said i can send them back if they are totally no good, i think sabelt list a side mount for the 1x2 :)

the side mount will fit any car, how are you bolting the seats(sidemounts) into the car? subframes?

Cant wait to see some pictures of these when u get them, the ones on the RS site arnt the best!

Well i got the seats etc, i'm going to bolt the mounts straight to the floor to get a reasonable seating position. I tried them in yesterday to get an idea but with the cage it's going to be tight!

Also managed to put the screen through with the cage :(

I'll up a pic soon

Paul

Car is nearly prepped ready for paint (finally)

Got the seats mounted ish!

The cage and wheels came back from the powder coaters today and they look mint! The pics make them look orange but they are a very bright red :)

WOW... need to check out that dash man ;)

I am looking to getting a kit cat style dash made up in fibreglass, uber light

i think technically they shouldn't pass an mot but often they do

something to do with the buckle? aircraft style. something along the lines that if you were in an accident and someone needed to free you from the car quickly it has to be obvious to them how to undo the seatbelt (ie like the big red push button on the standard belts)

i heard it's because they're not e marked. but the guy who tests my car actually asked his test trainer and he was told if it's a securely and safely fixed belt and the belt is good condition, there shouldn't be any problem.

but as you say, different testers pass different things.

ah right so those kind of harnesses with the seatbelt kind of buckle are ok?

really nice car btw!! love white cars atm

just read through the thread. nice work mate, think the ph1 really suits white:)

the wheels and cage look mint!

good work.

There's more paint to be done, just need to get round to it. Will look awesome when totally finished with the graphics etc.

Nice work mate, think PH1's in white look the best  , +1 on colour coding the bump strips ;) , those coillys look very pricey

Cheers fella, wait and see for the bump strips ;)

The coilovers wer certainly not fk price! But as you can see it's a propper coilover setup at the rear :)

It will need to handle the power well because it's not going to be a slouch!

Nothing wrong with Fk's, well any way i have FK koni's :rasp:

What sort of gains are expected with those sort of shock over H&R's etc? surely could be set-up better but would you really notice the diffrence between them? & if you dont mind me asking what did they set you back? shame you'll never see them once its back on the ground, they look so pretty :o

I'm told they will be noticably better when setup correctly, i'm just awaiting some spacers so i can get some more camber on the front (wheels touch the strut after 2 degrees)

I got them to try them really, rather than going for the normal off the shelf stuff, i waited about 8 weeks for these to come into stock so they best be good!

The engine mods should begin soon, with an aim of 350/400 i also require a new box lol

nice work paul, apologias for disturbing you on your day off btw mate! your dad fixed the belt as quick as.

jamie

paul,
what was the place called where you got those coilovers from?

also how much of that grip tape do you need?

carl

They are from powerstation or we can supply them if needed.

Totally forgot about that tape! Enough to do a section on the drivers footwell would be mint :)

when will you be fitting them and testing them paul? would like to see if they are any good first :D

They are fitted already :D

Once i move the battery to the back i'm getting the full car setup to suit by BPM Racing who run a CUP racer.

Spacers are here on monday so shouldn't be too long till it's all setup :)

Will also be interesting to see what it weighs in at!

Will they be corner weighting it as well then?

Carl, they are supposed to be the daddies!

Id have some if i was in the market and didnt already have h&r's

when you get it all set up you'll have to take me out in it. Really not sure wether to go for a full setup or just go for the easy option of some KW's or even H&R's
