right guys want your opinion.i have fallen in love with the prospeed exhaust for my 172 but looked on the route planner and says it is a 3 and a half hour drive from my house is it worth the drive?blueflame is only about an hour away who should i use?

Some good, some bad. the welds look....About as bad as the k-tec...But they are nice looking.

i think they look the mutts nuts when fitted i like the recessed finish instead of just under the bumper like magnex and blueflame

if you like the look etc of the blueflame i would get that one due to the fact if there is anything wrong with it, it's going to be a lot more simple to get it sorted plus it is probably cheaper than the prospeed

how much you guys pay for your exhaust? and how much is the sports cat they do? also any of you had bhp gains?

OOUCH! Sky to Dan Page...Don't think his experienes with Prospeed are particularly good...

i would highly recamend these guys at pro speed , i traveled from bristol to cardiff to see them , in itself that is not very far however with no exhaust on the 172 it was a horrible trip there, but worth it imo as i now have a mint exhaust which is a stealth cat back and it has a lifetime garuantee (sp)

Can't fault the 172 system.

Just because the welds are not tate modern standard doesn't mean its crap, it's an exhaust that nobody sees.

For under £280 name me an off the shelf manufacturer that looks or sounds as good as mine?
Oh and also includes fitting.

I gained around 2-3 bhp between rolling road sessions with mine over what I had.

quality... hmmmm

for the money a full custom fitted exhaust to your spec is awsome! Charlie builds wicked exhausts!

At the end of the day you can buy a magnex for more wedge and it wont fit very well and sound crap!

If ya want the best then your gonna be digging in the pocket deep! Ive seen systems that cost £1100-£1700 and they are the bo**ox.

But can you justify spending that on a gas outlet????

^ Your constant hijacking of exhaust threads with nothing constructive to say is becoming predictable and tiresome, what part of "Most clio owners don't want to nor can justify spending £600+ on an exhaust" can't you get your head arround ?

I'm not disputing your development work nor the end product, but surely the majority of 172/182 owners who simply just want a better look and sound are happy with their choices, who cares what the welds look like lol

Erm the welds do matter, as they are what effectively seals the exhaust.

You dont want a too small or too large diameter bore either

Custom systems from reputable places are by far the best way to go

Mines in tomorrow having a custom exhaust, i shall post pics and thoughts 2moro night

just trying to get accross the point that things do matter!

if people want to pay 350 quid for a system thats totally fine by me, but they have to realise that they will likely loose power, the quality probably wont be that great etc etc.

and its people like us, yozzasport, angelworks, gdi that are trying to get the best items for people. wonder why we bother sometimes.

anyways... see you at the finish line...

my prospeed was shite lol, noticably lost power with it. took it off and put the standard system with a decat on and its back upto if not more power now.

my mate mike is booked in to have the btb system fitted this saturday and if thats anygood i will be having that too!

pics etc will be up on saturday night i'd imagine :p

your post is incorrect.

Every prospeed system ive seen looks and fits better than any other, as well as providing an easier escape route for the gasses. They are made from the finest stainless steel and come with a lifetime warranty which is transferrable. They are also fitted to the car while you wait to exactly your specifications. Charlie has also fabricated extra mounts for his exhausts on the car to improve the standard workmanship from Renault.

So, which part of my £279 wasnt worth it?

I thought mine was fine!!!! a little noisy decatted, (imo) but it was sweet as, do miss it :(

As said above for £280 it was superior to the magnex i previously had. It fitted better, and the baffles never went in it either, unlike the magnex.

i'd have a btb mind, if thay made one for the cup :(

how many exhausts do u sell a week exactly at your prices ?? i would safely say Pro-speed fit a good few a day .... market for both ... yours is very nieche .

I've had to re-weld my Pro Speed. Whether it's a design flaw or an oversight I don't know.... but for £270..... Cheap as chips. It pulls better than it did and sounds superb. Would I go back? No.

You pay for what you get.

Very happy with my prospeed. Perfect sound for me (i.e. not boomy at low revs/normal driving). Blatantly better made than what Renault put on there originally! ;)
