Protection light constantly on amp?

Hi there I wired up my amp and sub and when I turn the ignition on both the power light and protection light are constantly on but there is no sound from the sub. I have tested the sub on my home cd player and it is working fine, I heard this could be a bad ground, I have my ground next to the lights in the boot. Can someone help me out?

sounds like the ground to me i had the same problem
i attached mine to the one of the bolts for the isofix bar works fine

Sorry to post again but i managed to get it grounded good enough so now I'm getting only the power light on my amp but I'm still not getting any sound from the sub:S any ideas?

I know it sounds stupid but double check all the connections and wires make sure the wiring kit you are using is suitable and just double check everything.
