You can put it into a new PS3 but it will format it, the drives are paired when the system formats it for the first time. Unless you had your saves backed up i think you are screwed, google some repair methods you might have some luck.

Online stuff should be ok and saved under your user profile; but don't bother with harddrive swaps and repairs cos it will just break again.

Switch it off at the back, hold eject button, switch it back on and your disk will eject... It will also sound like a Hoover for 30 seconds
