ps3 internet connection help

Can someone help me connect my new ps3 to the web please?

I've got a netgear (Sky BB) wireless router.

I have the MAC, SSID, NET KEY, and a SERIAL KEY...

Just cannot obtain IP address and the connection times out.

Help!!!!!!!!

John I have exactly the same router and the same problem! What diod you do mate?

the wep or wpe key the PS3 was asking for was the NETWORK key (written on the underside of my router.

I clicked on XP's wireless Network Connection Status/Wireless Networks/Properties and found some settings there too.

Did my head in for a bit, but now all is cool.

Also plugged my iPod in to it this morning and copied all the contents to the hd in aout 5 - 10 mins.

Cool as feck.

Only annoyance is the PS3's lack of multi-tasking, or am I missing something?
