i just went out and brought one of these as i really like them. thing is i turn it on, and guess what...... a dead pixel!! do i bother taking it back? as i hear loads have them.

they're good if u get use out of them! - only the ones made in china got the dead pixels! get urs from japan instead

I bought one in December then sold it in January because I wasn't using it enough to justify the cost. Had GT been available for it at the time then I'd probably have kept it.

I bought a Xbox 360 for at home instead.

I'm like that I constantly want something then once I have it I'm lucky if I ever look at it again. My poor PSP was a victim of this.

mine was one of the first batch from japan with the supposed better Sharp screen but i have a couple of dead pixels, you can't see them unless you go looking for them though and thats what people do.

You can use the dead pixel program to hopefully right it again, not that i have bothered as i can't see them in normal use unless i try to find them.

It would be impossible for none of them to have dead pixels anyway, its all part of the manufacturing processes and unless they are inspected before shipping can't be guaranteed, and even then, most dead pixels happen after you have starting using the product anyway, but as i say, unless you go looking for them, they won't bother you, its all pyschological!
