Puff of Smoke

Hi guys.

Have recently noticed that when I accelerate hard there is a puff of smoke coming out the back which i can see from my rear view mirror. What would be the most likely cause of this?

what colour is it?? white black or blue

Whitish colour! Could it be moisture?

yea prob mine does it too if it was blue i'd start to worry

IIRC, the 182 back boxes are a b**ch for holding water. When my car has been standing for a while, there will be white smoke out the back for upto 10 mins sometimes.

Take it for a good long drive, get the exhaust nice and warm and make sure it stops doing it. Obviously it'll just start again next time you leave it lol.

usually white would be condensation, specially on cold damp mornings, if its not gone and occurs after 15-20mins of driving you might have a coolant leak somewhere.

yeah a bit of white smoke normally just a bit of steam.
blue or black then you should worry.
