Purchasing a renaultsport 172

  Vauxhall corsa
Hi all,

am thinking of purchasing a 52 plate Clio renaultsport 172.

The mileage is around 70000
the price is £1995 from a dealer with full mot and 3 months warranty

Just like to know is this a good price?

the car itself is in good condition

Also anything I should look out for on a test drive? Anyone on here own one and know how much they cost to run?
thanks
jack

That's strong money for a Ph2 172, i'd say.

Join up here- there's a few decent looking 172's in the for sale section for half that.

You need to make sure the belts have been done by a reputable dealer and it has FSH at that price

To pay with cash I was thinking of offering £1500, I've had a look round it and everything is ok, only a couple of very minor cosmetic nicks etc. im going to drive it at the weekend, so as long as its hot all the history and had everything done it will be ok? And I'm not getting ripped off?

its worth what its worth to you!!! only you can decide

get a drive see what you think, when I was buying mine at the tail end of last month I looked at a few and because I had one when they were nearly new, none of them (quite rightly so) matched up to the memories of the one I had, so I decided to find one that was a good colour, straight and had good potential but needed work and spend a bit of money on it.

I eventually found my flame red one, 100k miles, straight and good condition body work wise, some nice parts on it (that I knew I could sell on as I wanted it pretty much standard), paid just over a grand for it and then spent a grand on it getting it where I want it, or nearly!
