purple HID's and hid full beam ?

  Monaco 172 + mk1 RSi
Two questions for CS :]

1. does anyone on here have xennons in there high beam ? i have a ph1 172 and i think xennon full beam would be mint for the country roads driving to my GF's mums, if so whats your views and do you have any pics ?

2. also how legal are "purple" xennons? i think theyre like 20/300000k or something? i think they look ace lol :)

comments welcome criticism GTF lol

1. I think a few with 197/200's might possibly have done a retro fit for Bi-Xenon headlights, but you cant with the standard units on a ph2 as they don't have projector lenses for the high beam.

2. Illegal, 6000k is the legal max for road use. If they are 200,000k they would not give out any light, but they would probably blow it.

Ace? Really? I don't see the point in getting HIDs to improve light, then to get some that are a ridiculous colour that will make it harder to see.

It's retarded, unless you go full blown bi-xenon. Putting a hid kit in your reflector set-up is stupid (they don't respond quickly when flashing the headlight). And genuinely cuntish given the glare they would produce. And purple is just plain chav.

  a low one
theres no need for HIDs in full beams as correctly set up HIDs should be plenty bright enough! also they take a while to " heat up " and would take a while to get to there full light status

also the purple HIDs look s**t, provide no light and would get you stopped by the police inevitably

im not fussed about much light from low beam as they only get used in street light areas, and projector or not high beam is only for when there is no oncoming traffic, in theses situations i DO want to see where im going lol

i take it nobodys tried it then ?

They take 3seconds MAX, Unless you have ebay specials.

Another note to make, if your wanted a HID kit to put in reflectors these will soon fail MOT's. However I believe the ph1 was dual optics so im not 100% sure how this would work.

Which is too long if you're using the flash function. The ph1 isn't dual optics.

Thought.

We're not 'hating'

You'd last three seconds before you were pulled with 30,000k HID's. The fella in that vid only gets away with it because he's probably Yakuza.

You just ran out of idea's, didn't you?

Listen to those that know better. Unless you go for a bi-xenon conversion (big job) it's a no go. You will get pulled over, you will have to remove them come MOT time. They won't respond quickly enough.

the ph1 is dual optic, and as stated im a c**t, i never flash onyone ;)
the full beam is STRICTLY for country roads so why does it need to be a projector, i would change em back for mot and tbh where i take my car i doubt it would fail lol

3 seconds at 60mph is a considerable distance to travel though?

Just can the idea mate, it's really not worth it.

i think so lol, still tempted to get some purple xonnons tho to see what it looks like :D

ta jamie

also whilst where debaiting, the initial "flash" when xennons first start up would act as a flash IMO ;)

Sorry, it is dual optic, but only has one projector.

You're coming across as a moron. On that basis, I'm out.

Just drive around with some purple sidelights on, it'll give out the same light and look just as crap as purple HIDs.

There is some bell piece around my way with 12000K or some s**t in his Civic Type R. I'll try and get a pic, then you can see how gash they are.
