Question on rubbing an 197 brembos clearing

  Clio mk2 RS phase 2
Howdy!
Wondering if 16x7 with 205/45/16 or 16x7,5 will rub
and in case I install my resting brembos will need spacers.
Now I am on stock oz f1s and flirting with Azev As and white Technomagnesio Indianapolis.
Yellow 172 btw...
Peace!

A smaller rolling radius will increase acceleration, use a comparison site to see the difference.

For wheel and caliper clearance you're probably going to have to test fit and see.

182 Trophy's ran 16x7 with 205/45 from the factory. Obviously these are a different wheel design and possibly different offset than the two you've listed. Not sure about 7.5wide wheels though, as these would require 215-225 tyres. Unless you stay 205 stretched.

Had two setups in the past. ET38.5 CUP Turini +5mm spacer (ET33.5 equivalent) and ET45 Trophy Turini +20mm spacer (ET25 equivalent). Both with standard suspension. Trophy wheels with 20mm spacers rubbed sometimes with full lock and some compression. A 20mm+ drop in the suspension could've very much made this even more pronounced.

When it comes to Brembo clearance.
If you're running a 280mm Brembo setup. With 16" wheels, spoke design is the main concern for cleanance. The barrel shouldn't be a problem. Only when you go to 15" should both be considered (spacers more than likely required).
With the 300mm setup. For 16", both the spokes and barrel should be considered. Wont fit under 15".
