Questions, suspension questions...





Ok folks, recently lowered my valver on k-tec springs, standard shocks to save some money which has been ok, if a little bouncy at high speeds. I think my rear shocks are on their way out now (car bounces several times before settling if rear is pushed down by hand) so was wondering what you recommend going for?

Currently im down 40mm and was thinking of coilovers for the greater freedom but is it really worth it??

What is the optimum ride height for a valver anyway??

BarryD is right the torsion bar acts as the spring the shocks just control the rebound etc.
 


Id go for Avo adjustables, not too harsh but the ride is superb. Very easy to adjust aswell, running mine with Chassis Dynamics springs (AVO) which are also very good....35 mm drop but it looks alot lower. Wheels fir nicely into the arches.
 


My back shocks do the same, nasty..

Id go for Avo Coilovers.. ever since I went in now Adis Valver.. seriously awesome bit of kit, heh.

trailing arms are just metal components which the stub axle/wheel/brake assembly attaches to. It pivots off where it joins to the chassis, torsion bar provides the sping action and a seperate damber the compression and rebound damping.

Much like a motorbike rear swingarm.
