Quick brake decision required

  Abarth 500

My poor little cup is in for its 12k service (and a few other bits and pieces of course ;)).

The dealer has just called to say my front pads are worn which is no surprise whatsoever. The decision is whether to let them replace them for £90 or get some non- Renault decent pads and get some dodgy geezer to fit them...

Will I see a noticable improvement if I splash out on decent pads??

Also, someone told me buying better pads normally involves buying harder compound pads which will wear the discs more unless I uprate them as well...

I have no knowledge on the subject so would appreciate some advice - they need to know soon whether to do them though!!

Buy some aftermarket pads...

Dont have to get hard ones, just get some decent fast road pads which will improve braking, but wont wear the discs much more than standard.

Mintex M1144, Ferrodo DS2500, Pagids or K-Tec ones are all good.
