quick coilover question?

Are there any coilovers which will fit a 1.2 2001 and a 172 2001 onwards? cheers

Quick answer - no.

The suspension setup is different between the non-sports and the 172/182s

I think it's to do with hub or bolt spacing

yeah......you're 1.2 will probably be 58mm spacing on the shock/hub if its a 16v.........172's are 54mm IIRC
