Quick gear stick question



  172 cup TT
Hi all,

If i bought the complete stick and linkages from a MK2 PH1 1.2 16v clio would it fit my 172 cup?

absolute star mate cheers... anything i need to remember to take off the doner car like specific linkages etc? or simply just the stick? if i use the doner cars knob will it go into reverse in the same way? all totally fine yes?.. i just thought the standard Cup stick was shorter possibly... ta

its the same .... you need the whole stick from where it attaches to the linkage under the car its all one unit. if your buying second hand or from a breakers make sure the plasic collar that allows you to select reverse is broken (if you life up the gator you can see the collar)

thanks mate... i am getting the gaiter, knob included...

what do mean "broken"? - wont it be a straight swap then unless i "brake" the collar in some way?.. Sorry to be a pain in the @rse!

1. get under the car mid section where the gear linkage sticks out 4 x 10mm bolts undo them and the 13mm that holds the linkages together. then undo the 4 13mm bolts that hold the whole thing in the car.
2. inside the car undo the gaiter and pull the surround over the stick . the stick should be free and you can pull it out .
