As above, I need to do this today.

(I cam keeping my hillpower bend and CAF so will need to connect to standard box)

Any help would be great please :D

its gonna be really easy, just strip the viper off and all associated bits to it and then just look at the airbox and see how it fits, it really cant be hard.....

Ca anyone tell me if not conection the original CAF on the bottom right of the box will cause power loss ??

My modified CAF won't fit :(

I think if your CAF is zip tied nice and snugly up to the inlet on the botom of the OE airbox it should do it's job.

For a more permanent solution I would probably buy a new CAF which fits the airbox outlet properly though.

I have the old CAF that fits to the standard box, but where is the other end of it meant to go ??

The other end connects up to the acoustic valve which has obviously been removed.

I would buy a pipe connector (metal sleeve the id of the OE feed) and add an extra piece to go down to the foglight area/grille.

^^ I have the CAF to the grill that I fitted for the viper but that doesn't fit onto the air box like the standard pipe

You can buy samco pipes which step down from larger diameter pipes to smaller ones.

You could install one onto the OE box which goes up to the size of the Viper CAF.

This place at Castle Coombe racetrack is pretty good for CAFs and hosing

Other alternative is to just get a another CAF the same diameter as the OE one but longer.

Good luck with it

I'm pretty good a bodging things but I would probably end up measuring the OE pipe and buying a whole new one to go down to the front of the car.

hmm have you got the other caf from under the box going anywhere ? iirc this just clips to a compartment near the front of the engine where the normal caf runs. Havent seen any 'dual' caf systems to feed a stock box which could be good.

Too many bloody CAFs if you ask me .. lol

I will sort this when I get back off my hols, my head can't deal with it right now ..

  Clio 172 mk2
Yep...sack it off and take a break:D

I haven't driven my car for a week..it's been in the repairers having the rear end fixed as some goon went into the back of me.

Can't wait to fire it up and get the boot in:D

Aww sorry to here that Neil bet you can't wait to get it back ..

She is going into Renault when I get home so I will try and sort it before then :)

  Clio 172 mk2
Yeah...I am looking forward to having the 172 back. I've been driving around in a brand new convertible Peugeot with a white leather interior! The girlfriend loves it.....I don't lol

Shouldn't be too hard to sort the caf.....biggest 'pain' if you like is getting the splash shield off which can be fiddly so you can route it down to the right area.

It's the pice of plastic that runs underneath the wheel arch and goes under the bumper.

By removing it you can access the area below the airbox and the foglight etc.

Not a real mission to get off but just easier if you remove the wheel to get at the fixings.
