quick Q about snapped ECU bracket

looking at this, with a view to welding it

can anyone confirm that the whole assembly needs to come out (looks as though it does?) and, if so, if i disconnect battery and ECU, will it all go back together without creating faults/illuminating dash warning lamps, etc?

Nope iv welded them in place before. Just disconect the battery and the ECU plug.

mines snapped too and has been for about a yr, i just bent the broken bit out the way of the turret so it didnt make a noise. i'l get a replacement eventually.

£28 quid for a new one that will no doubt snap again.

Fixed mine by drilling a hole in the bracket and fixing it to the turret with 2 cable ties. Pikey fix.
