Quick Question: 1995 RSi Good Price

Been offered a 1995 RSi for £1400.

12 Months MOT, service history, 2 previous owners, 101k on the clock, no tax left, metallic blue, body work pretty good condition and so is the interior!

So is this a good/fair/poor price?

Any coments please, and quickly coz I think the bloke is keen to sell now!

Nice alloys, gotta be worth a few hundred on there own, so knock em down to £1000-1200 and i say it was worth it? Any mods to the engine or stereo?

£1400 bottom line!

He wont go any lower, he had it up for £1500 so ive knocked him down £100 already!

So by the sound of it you guys think its a bit pricey??

Not sure, misses is giving me a bit a grief but it does look/sound good!

Any other feedback. Come on peeps, help!

Only mods are it has been lowered 55mm and the wheels tyres, only two months old.

From parkers on 80,000 miles. Not bad i suppose, if that the lowest hell tkae, just gotta add tax to it.

have you taken it out for a run mate? seems an okish price. if youre buying it to sell it on you wont get much more than youre gonna be paying for it, if any.

i paid 2800 for mine on 65k back in 2002.

looks like the back is lower than the front though, id change that. wouldnt worry about the mileage-its a volve block and will go on forever. make sure the usuals been sorted etc

nice cars though, i really liked mine.

Thanks for all your help peeps.

Found out the car has had only one previous owner not two, its on the second owner now. And that it a 1996 not a 1995 so i guess this is reflected in that price!

Think im gonna go for it but there could be a divorce looming:(

sounds good enough to me.... and not that its going to bother you but performance just shy of the valver, and only just...

Parkers guide doesnt mean crap all IMHO.

Cheers Paul. Yeah, I know the crack as far as the performance differences between the valver and the RSi, have had both from new in the past.

Just want this car for a bit of track day fun, but didnt really want to spend as much as this but, hey, its only money i suppose.

Made my mind up and ive told the bloke tonight that im going to have it!

So as soon as i collect, not sure when, ill be the owner of a nice RSi, yiiiiiiiipppppyyyyy!!!:D

Sounds fairly nice, but it is missing the front valance and fog lights - at least £100 if you want them.

The thing about the RSi is that it will always be in the shadow of the 16V.

No its not, but might still get one just for the laugh!

Seen one on ebay a few days back that went for £185 still had some motty and tax, so just for the crack, and to piss a few certain people off, Tom you know who im talking about, I might still buy a "torching car" for sacrifice!

Nickyb, you still want the wheels?? Theyre only 4 months old (wheels and tyres) so are pretty much as new!

Theyre 15s but not sure what make or style. Only reason I want rid of is coz I want to get the car back to standard as poss!
