Quick question for V6 255 owners

So looks like Im going to order my V6 thru a broker and so is going to be difficult for me to get a test drive. Doesnt really bother me since I know that I fit comfortably in my 172 which leads to my quick question ...

Is the seat travel on a V6 then same / better / worse than 172? My starting assumption is that the runners are unchanged and so it will go back as far as the 172. My seat is fully back in my 172 and so need the V6 to be as good or better travel.

the seats are the same as the 172, but they dont go back as far in the V6 because of there parcel shelf.

Hmmm ... so can you push the seat all the way to the back of the runners? Is that you then cant recline them as much (if you could get to the lever)?

Im just over 6 foot tall, and drive my 172 with the seat full back and slightly reclined. When I first got my 172 I felt closer to the pedals than Id previously driven. If its not to personal a question ... how tall are our CS V6 drivers?

Im 5"10. I dont think the seats go all the way back on the runner, but ill pop out and have a look now.

nope they dont go all the way back on the runner, the runners look different to the 172 runners i think.

picture shows the seat as far back as it will go, also you need the seat totally upright to get it that far back, if its reclined its even less room.

Im 61" and have no problem at all, you will only suffer if youre much taller than that?

61" as well and dont have any problems (not even as far back as it can go). Interestingly enough, the seats in mine do hit the back of the runners.

Ive only had mine for 2 weeks but drove it straight from Manchester to Cambridge without stopping and found it pretty comfortable. Im 6 foot 4 and not complaining.

why dont you go to a renault dealer for a test drive? make out your interested and then see if it is ok for you.

Watch your pucture repair units as this can stop the seat going back and also the height adjustment

Sat in a V6 255 a couple of times (although never drove it) and swear the runners went back further than my 182 - not by much though, but sure there was more room!

Reckon Ill have ordered it before I get a go ... keen to beat any 2005 price increases. However, I have requested a test drive and Renault UK are sorting it ... after theyd checked how old I am

Renault UK will be selling me a V6 ... however will probably not be thru the dealer who gives me the test drive.

im 64" and i fit in them ok, it had as much space as my 182
