quick question oabout original 172 hu

Hi, I sold a mk1 172 headunit on ebay, now the buyer says it doesnt work and he needs a code, i didnt know this as i changed it straight away when i got the car. So can anyone help to tell me where i would find it, I'm a little worried as my car was written off and i sent loads of documents to the insurance maybe including the form with the code. Im not sure, Anyone help?

if you got it from a dealer he may have it

The radio code should be in the front of the service booklet if you have it. If not renault can give it you at a cost but I think they need several details about the car before they'll give it you.

yeah i put my standard back in the other day as i was selling the car the codes in the front of the service book on a little sticker.

servicde book went to the insurance, once it was wrote off. So i dont have anything. will try ring renault 2day, what will they want to know, cos i dont have many of the details about the car now.

Think they ask for things like the VIN number etc which could be a problem in your situation.
