quick questionp about abs

Car  BMW 330cd
Just wondering, if my rear wheels try to lock up under braking due to the road conditions will the abs kick in just for those wheels? Or will the abs kick for the front?

I also have a quick question. When ABS kicks in, should the pedal feel a bit weird? Like it's grinding over something?

I've never had ABS before so I'm not sure :(

It feels horrible.

My ABS light came on the other day as it had been kicking in lots in the recent snow. It is intermittent now, do I need to replace the ABS ring on one/more of my brakes?

i tend to run older cars and have never experienced abs before, but this snow has changed that, feels wierd but now i just brake and dont worry.

Relying on ABS is not good in the snow. You should be slowing down the car by gradually going down through the gears and lightly brushing the brakes so the wheels don't lock up. Why do you think an ABS ring is faulty? sounds like the system is working correclty.

ABS gets confused in the snow and ice.

My ABS and TC lights came on, then when I got back onto solid dry tarmac it sorted itself out, like when your on the rr :)

Mine only needs a slither of snow on the road and the ABS will kick In. I've even had It on damp manhole covers etc. Bit of PITA really, Can they be turned off on a 2005 Clio?

No I dont think so as I wanted the same thing as in snow its useless, if you turn it off the brake bias gos 50:50 rather than 90:10 so its will unbalabce the car.
