Quick Tyre Question

Just a quick question, am finally gonna try and rule out tyres of a buckled wheel as the reason for my car shaking at 70mph.

Is it legal to put 13" wheels on the front and 15"s on the back? It will only be for an hour or two so i can take it for a spin to see if the shaking is still there.

Thanks
Dazz

ok thanks, i think the actual law is you can run different sizes as long as they are matched on each axel? Can anyone confirm?

Thanks

Sure there is no actual law covering it, there are quiet a few production cars which run different size rims front to back, usually no more than an inch larger on the back. Its more about wether it is detremental to the handling/roadholding ability by changing the wheel size, this will vary from car to car. In a production car with diff wheel sizes as factory fit, they build this factor in when they design the suspention set up brakes etc, so its not an issue. On a modded car, its like any other mod you make, it depends what effect it has on the cars handling/safety/brakiing ability etc.

Well even if its not legal, itll look hardcore which is surely more important Dazz?:devilish: I was sporting that look last year at York - 18s on the back and 15s on the front...

Dont even need to be matched on each axle....otherwise people would never be able to use spacesaver spares :)
