Quickshift gear lever

[K-Tec Racing]

We are now stocking a quickshift/short throw gearlever that will fit all the Clio 2s including the facelift model. We have just fitted one to one of our 172s and it has dramatically reduced the travel of the lever and has given the gearchange a much more precise feel.
It is a complete gearlever assembly made from alloy and stainless steel and even comes with a new alloy gearknob.
Oh and they cost £139+vat.

Fitting is a little trickey as the lever need to be removed from under the car which means takinf off parts of the exhaust heat shield. We didnt have to much of a problem as our car doesnt have the cat pipe on at the moment as we are having the decat pipes made. With the cat pipe off it was quite an easy job. As for pictures I dont know how to get a pic up on this site so if there is someone I can mail a picture to who can do it for me I will be most grateful.

I heard that after installation the heat sheild doesnt fit back on, is this true? And is the knob removable?Also how does shifting into reverse work, Does it have a pull ring?

The lever assembly will fit all Clios (inc Williams etc) and fitting will take between 1 and 2 hours (at £30+vat/hour)depending on which model it is being fitted to (172 is 2 hours). Once fitted the heatshield fits back into place without any modifications. Fitting charges on the 172 would be less if a de cat pipe was being fitted at the same time as it is easier to fit with the cat pipe off.

Yes it will fir ALL Clios. It seems Renault have used the same gearlever housing in several of its models. I would say it would probably fit the 19 but as I have not fitted one to a 19 I wouldnt like to say for sure.
