** quite urgent ** rear seat belts jammed !!

as above really , i took all the rear seat belts etc out and now its time they went back in but they seem to be in a jammed position like when you brake hard ? how do i resolve this ? :S

no :( iv got everything today back in apart from the belts . all sat in my boot waiting but theyre sort of stuck like how they got if you quickly brake . ?

Lay the inertia reel flat on the floor and gently pull belt out whilst holding firmly in place....

If that fails, then hold it in a similar position to how its mounted in the car, (so mounting face is on a flat surface), and gently ease the belt out....

Hard to write down a description, but basically the belt is acting as it would if it were suddenly jolted as if in an accident, the belt has fully retracted and because the reel isn't bolted in place the brake mechanism won't release....if it is bolted in place and still won't release then a few sharp tugs should persuade it....

They should be fine once fitted mate, bolt them back up in place and the locking mechanism should release.

i was fiddling with them all morning but i will try again after work tomorrow if i still have no luck i will come back here ha ha but i really need them in soon :(

it happens when they get put upside down as a safety thing for if you roll your car or something.

awesome advice guys , been out to the car just now after finishing work , i placed them in the correct possitions and angles and bolted them in and they just undone !! clever bit of safety gear ;)
