R.A.I.D question

  VW Potato

OK, so in the Clio brochure, it says the Clio comes with R.A.I.D which automatically locks the doors at 6mph. Is this under or over 6mph? Isnt it better if the doors lock at under 6mph? I know carjackers move fast, but I cant see one legging it alongside you at 40mph for long.

Anyone know?

It means once u get in ure car and start the engine, pull out of your driveway, once u reach 6mph, the doors lock. They stay locked untill u open the door next. To stop you getting car jacked when ure in traffic etc. I dont think its 6mph tho, think it does it a bit lower, havnt really watched tho.

IT SAYS 6MPH IN THE BROCHURE - SO THERE! :))

ah, ok, i thought they locked and unlocked at 6mph (thats right SIX MILES PER HOUR NOT FIVE, OR SEVEN, BUT SIX) like a black cab. Now that makes sense and the stupidity of my question is apparent to me.

I thank you :))

A black cab unlocks at over 6mph to let you fall out? Sounds fun ;)

Tom - this is what it says in the manual*: "The Clio comes with R.A.I.D which automatically locks the doors at 6mph."

*Blatant lie - thats what it says in the brochure.

Or by getting the seatbelt buckle just at the right angle between the door and the car, then slamming it... Need about 5 people pulling on the door to get the thing open. A friend did that on my old clio, panic! heh.
