Probably like Strombas old one - i.e. was kept in a showroom or on trade plates for a few years before being registered.

You cant make a car appear newer than it is with a private plate.

Think my Clio was reg later than when it was made. Late 1992 but has all the features of an early J

You cant put a private plate on a car and make it look newer.

ie If I bought R1 DAN I could not put it on a car any older than a 1997 reg.

Sounds like it was just registered late, my 172 is on an 04 plate but according to the manufacturer it should be a 182.

yeah my car was a courtesy car for a couple of months so the registration is later than it should be. pain in the ass because insurance companies cant get their heads round it and always wahnt to charge me for a 16v engine!

that is rare,
paul mitchell had the last williams 3, that was an R reg as well,but it had had a smack,which is how he came by it.
