R19 16v front g/box mount on a 172?

Car  Mk1 Audi TT 3.2 V6
Is it possible to fit one of these from the front of the gearbox to the subframe?

Just thinking it might help stiffen it up
 
as above. It's a popular thing to do on a mk1 which don't have them, but 172's have the exact same part as the 19
