r19 lump in a 1.4

is it possible to drop a r19 lump into a 1.4 rt. does the box fit or will i need another and wiring what will i need also does anyone know what ins group an rsi is?

Engine and box will fit no problems, but you may have problems with inlet manifold as there is less room in the clio bay so they fitted a squashed version.

Although Andy at GDI said he had fitted a complete 19 engine with manifolds so it must be possible. You could PM him to get more info. Heard a lot of good stuff about their work.

If you get the ECU from donor car, wiring shouldnt be a headache really.

the manifolds are exactly the same dimensions, well the ones we had were.



main differences were the 19 one has no place to screw the injector cover plate and there is no vacume hose connection on the end for the carbon canister....

def get the whole engine with loom etc etc...
