Have you heard one? They actually make the car sound like an amazing angry wookie!

Such a spine tingling noise, up there with my fave car noises... and its on a 10k Golf!!

They sound better when they've warmed up a bit. when you slowly accelerate in a low gear it's a nice deep rumble. Love it!

And as said, for the price and quality, they are awesome!

Superfast - have a look at this.

0:36 and 1:36 are good examples of the noise. Hard to capture on video though!

  Golf R soon...
Luvly!

The colour I really, really, really wanted but couldn't find at the time for a decent price!

Had the non res milltek on mine, best mod ever!

For the mileage (40k when I bought it) and bearing in mind the rarity of the colour, I got a good price. It was pretty much the same price as 'common' colours like DPB and silver, but they all seemed to have 60-75k miles on them.

It came serviced (costing £300), with 12months MOT (the guy had it done 2 days before I picked it up) and fairly new tyres. All in all, a good buy I think!

Would you mind saying what you payed for it?

£10.5k, I think the average at the moment is 10-11k, so about right :)

there are some shitters going for around 9k though

I've never 'raced' one, been on a track day with one, or driven one - what are they like pace/handling/enjoyment wise?

Used to have a golf & always secretly wanted this shape R32 but hear mixed opinions?

What sort of output do they deliver standard/lightly tinkered?

Grey ones when I was looking were going for about £15k - £16k.

I managed to bag mine for £13,200. It was black with 30k on the clock. Had half leather and sunroof.

Sold it a year later for £10,800. In the middle of the recession :dead:

if you want a track car thats cheap to tune then an R32 isn't for you.

At the end of the day it weighs far too much to ever be considered fast or nimble.

the 4 wheel drive definitely helps, but for me it came out of the box a bit underpowered. could have done with about 30bhp more or being 150kg lighter.

the R32 (mk4 anyway...) is more about exclusivity, road presence, and sound all mixed in with a decent amount of power and torque.

Mine has been stage 1 mapped, with the same mods as me they generally make around 255bhp, you can get uprated cams for pretty cheap though, which will see 265bhp.

But for power that you'll notice (turbos/SCs) its stupid money (£10k+)

they sound mega! love it.

flame you need to connect the sides of your cupraR splitter dude, its lagging down :(

Its not dude, the outer edges of the bumper slant down! Naturally the cupra r splitter is pretty much straight all the way across so it flexes back towards the bumper anyway :) might just be poop pics!

^^ yeah love the milltek. Makes a nice difference from when I had a piper cat back system on my 172, it was just quite loud and droney, whereas the milltek is loud and throaty when you want it to be!!

Cheers for the comments guys :)
