R5 16v

Hi guys, im in the proccess of doing R5 gt turbo 16v conv, i need a 1.8/2.0 (williams) engine ecu and loom from a clio r19 or megan, ive posted a wanted but if anyone has one let give me a shout rikki@printandsign.com

I'd leave the turbo lump in it personally. looks a tidy motor i had a white one as my 1st car minus the stickers though.

EDIT, just added the clip, does looks quick and sounds great but still seems alot of greif when the standard lump is very tuneable.

Yeah just dont crash. Biscuit tin on wheels I'd definately cage one if i ever get one again.

cheers for u coments guys yes the standard lump is very easy to tune, and if looked after, reliable! but i want to give this a go as i am also looking to do a turbo convertion on the 16v lump, which should see some nice power :evil:

i live in stockport

the vag 1.8t is a nice engine, but alot harder/more expensive to convert i think.

yes they are not the best cars to crash but that 'biscuit tin on wheels' body is also what makes them so light an in turn so quick i will be looking into a cage tho

I would, lol. Like i say i had one as a 1st car loved it to bits and if i could find a minter and had space i'd have another in a shot. After getting back in one after the 172 it felt worryingly flimsy. Seeing what happened when mates crashed theirs it doesnt take much of an impact to fold them up like wet cardboard.

try jon at torsion tuning, he normally has some valver lumps sitting around as every one wants 5 turbo lump put in instead. i must admit hes one does seem to be very quick, anywho his number is 07949 200705

it is thanks took me a long time to get it back to mint and standard, it will stay that way. (minus the engine)
