RAC and Fault codes

My brothers 1.2 16v is running like a shower of shite, himself and another member on here have tried all the usual tricks, cleaning the throttle body etc and checking the loom, its now permanently stuck in safe mode. If he calls up the RAC will they be able to read off the fault code as the garages aren't open till monday.

All our patrols carry the diagnostic software so they should be able to plug it in and read the codes/reset them. However isn't guaranteed occasionally it doesn't interface correctly.

When you ring up explain the situation and you want a patrol to come out, otherwise if we're really busy we might assign a contractor to you and they don't carry the code readers.
