Racing Blue PH1 Track Car

  BMW M4; S1000 RR
If you can do it why not, Imo you are more likely to crash on a road, if you crash on a track its 99% your own fault.

Agreed. But accidents happen, should an accident happen it's not going to cost you as much (in grief or money) to put a track car back to a usable state as you don't have to worry about it looking pretty etc.

It costs us the same to spray a car white as it does racing blue, so stuff like that doesn't matter.

how much do you pay for your resprays, you seem to get them done for laughs! every car so far has a had a respray hasn't it?

car looks awesome though!

Mint!! How do you rate the cams?

its hard to tell compared to standard due to the massive weight difference. The car is much quicker than my standard 172 and my brothers 182 but as i said that could be due to weight loss.

That just looks spot on fella!!! Love the combination of racing blue and those wheels hopefully see it in person at a trackday or two next year

  B/G 182 + PH1 Track
Looks amazing, well done. Fiver says you'll do one trackday in it though ;)

Already done 2 in it as silver, we are booked in for mallory on 15th of november, were going to do Oulton on the 18th but its on a tuesday which is hard to make due to uni for me and carl. But then its december and we will be back out in febuary with it at croft.

More of a show car than a track car but very good effort anyhow.

Have you got adjustable camber for the fonts?

  2118'd Iceberg Ph2 172
Sexual. Plain and simple. RB and white 2118's is a marriage made in heaven, and then the Ph1 aspect just adds a little extra spice!

Inspiring stuff...

Im just surprised you went to all the effort converting a road car to a track car when you can buy an ex-cup racer with sequential box etc for £7K ish now? Unless of course you wanted to do a 'custom' track car...

Don't get me wrong, its a good effort but wheres the door bars or front part of the cage, the rear cage sure it looks 'cool' but on its own is pretty useless in a roll over.

Saying all this I'm sure its fantastic fun, I used to own a cup racer which I regrettably sold, but it was awesome fun.

this car has cost us approx £3.5k so yeah another 3.5k and we could have had a cup racer. The cage was already in when we bought the car.
