Radiator blanking plug sealing

Pattern radiator which has blanking plug. Last week leaked the water away and now when I found the fault I discovered that it is hand tight.

Plan to use Hylomar universal Blue or Hylotyte Red on threads and rubber washer. Run to temp and then retorque.

Is that a good idea?

Tech sheets indicate that a semi setting product like the Red would be better?

Also anyone recommend a torque for a nylon blank?

Use either sealant but don't re-torque the plastic plug you'll just break the seal that the Hylomar has just made, kinda defeats the what the Hylomar is for.

Ta for advice - the blanking plug is mid way up on the left side looking forward between the inlet / outlet connectons - I guess its for a control on other Clio models?

Going to use the Blue.

Don't suppose you bought the blanking plug separate did you? I have a Valeo rad but no blanking plug, I need to source the blanking plug so I can put the rad back in.
