radio problem

hi there

my radio on my 1.8 valver has suddenly decided to play up, normally i can search through the stations but it seems the radio is not locating radio stations. When i manually tune it the reception is really poor, anyone know why this is?

could it be a sign the battery is wearing out?

I have had the radio out and the aeriel is connected?

is the aeriel cable insulatated?

Mine was being gay like that, put tape around the connectors and it works fine now
