Right im currently running t1r's on the front of my cup and some budgets on the back (came on the car when i got it but their nearly new), keep getting the arse end out at low speed and its doing my head in :rasp: it scares me to hell in the wet but in the dry my car is great, the alignment is spot on, so ive read up about the uniroyal rainsport 2's on here being very good in the wet, my tyre size is 205/45/16 all i can find on black circles are 205/50/16 i dont mind 195's but want to keep 45's anyone know were else is the best place to get them from online or over the phone in lincolnshire,

If you look at the tread pattern on the RS2 compared to the T1R the only significant difference is that the bit where the tread pattern meets the shoulder of the tyre the gaps are full size on the RS2 and slimmed down on the T1R.
This means in standing water (ie puddles more than a few mm deep) the RS2 will outperform the T1R, but it will also wear the edges out a lot quicker as well when used in the dry.

I really rate the RS2 as a wet tyre.

yeah im after something good in the wet mate, the outer edges have started to go on the t1-r's but im convinced its the rear tyres that are my problem, the lad who had the car before me just got them because they was cheap, i put them on the rear and put the toyos on the front and in the dry its fine, but i had it sideways earlier at 30mph around a roundabout :/ think ill search for a set this week

Used them on the ZR, those are now on the girlfriends's 182 (205/45). I even use them on the SX.

I've got RS2s on mine and they're great in the wet.

The first time it really pissed it down when I was on the A46 between Stratford upon Avon and Coventry,
the road was like a lake and not once did it feel like I was going to auqaplane,
also when I looked in the rear view mirror, I had two clear stripes on the road where it was displacing sh*t loads of water.

I really rate the RS2. Dry grip is perfectly good, wet grip is mind boggling at times. Braking in the wet confused me (in a good way) for the first few hundred miles!!
