Rainy day

Cleaned the car yesterday... and it got soaked today. It's now filthy. I figured I'd post some new pictures since some people wanted to see my newly tinted windows. I only had medium tints so it's not that dark.

I'm ordering an RS grille as soon as I get paid next month, that should improve the car shouldn't it?

Hopefully my civic ariel from Curley should arrive tomorrow too.

As you can see I've sprayed the door badges iceburg silver but even though I like them I'm not sure if I'm going to keep them. I think spraying them black might look better. I'm not sure.

Them pictures of mine had the fronts done 50% which doesnt make it obvious compared to the back so old bill are none the wiser

tints are too dark imo, would have been better to go for a lighter tint all-round.
car looks tidy tho. lower and rs grille would make a huge improvement.

To me light tints just aren't worth the money. I know people on this forum say that every Clio should be lowered, but I'm not going to do that I already hate speed bumps. Like I said, the RS grille will be added next month hopefully. Don't suppose anyone knows how to get hold of one for less than £40-50?

Lower it, even if you only got 35-40mm will make it sit 10 times better and you will have no problems what so ever with speed bumps

Thanks everyone. Some of the things I want to get done are...

Indicator bulbs - I've heard about bulbs that appear clear/silver but flash orange. More info on this would be helpful please.

Splitter - I'd like a new splitter but fitting things isn't my thing and I'm worried about how I'd go about it.

RS Grille - Should get that on Friday.

Side skirts - Really like the idea of side skirts, I think they'd improve the look a lot more. I don't want expensive ones though. Again I wouldn't be sure on how to fit them.

Also does anyone have any tips on improving the area I've highlighted in this picture? It's the bit underneath the car. It just looks really rough and messy. I don't think sideskirts would completely cover it either. I'm thinking about trying to smooth it down across the bottom and spraying it black, then it won't be as bad. What do you think?

Indicator bulbs - Philips Silvervisions.

Splitter - Get a Megane splitter or something, and some self tappers from B&Q. Drill a few holes through the splitter when it's test fitted on the car and screw the screws in

RS Grille - FTWTBQFH

Side skirts - Side skirt clips would be needed, which would mean drilling a few holes in the 'rough bit' at the bottom and riviting the clips on to hook the sideskirt on. That, or a s**t load of Tiger Seal.

Also does anyone have any tips on improving the area I've highlighted in this picture? It's the bit underneath the car. It just looks really rough and messy. I don't think sideskirts would completely cover it either. I'm thinking about trying to smooth it down across the bottom and spraying it black, then it won't be as bad. What do you think?

Leave it mate. The sideskirts would cover all of it, but if you aren't getting those then just leave that coz if you start doing things to your car not knowing how it will end you'll never be happy with the result!

Think there a tenner in halfords for silvertechs.

Joshhatton on here sells silver indicators cheap, I dont know if hes got anymore sets though. I just got some through from him.. They seem alright but id rather pay the extra and get silvertechs/silvervisions next time.

I use back to black on mine works a treat just spray it straight onto it.

lol done mine yesterday it was actually ok, but you cant really see it now so much better. Learned the trick when i used to drive my mum's clio like 3 years ago gave it a go and it worked.

I'm definitely going to get the indicator bulbs. However there's 3 to choose from, they all look the same so what's the difference? Which do I need?

I can fit them by opening the bonnet and doing it that way can't I? Or do I have to take the light cover off the front?

My RS grille should be here tomorrow.

You'll need the 'bigger' bulbs with offset pins matey. You fit them by opening the bonnet and twisting the bulb holder off.

Well, I went to Halfords and got them, but then I got them home and dropped them They just jumped out of the packet!

I'll have to get some more tomorrow.

Well my RS grille isn't coming until Tuesday due to Monday being a bank holiday. I think I'm going to leave the silver bullets for now. I do need a better front diamond though, the one I did is a bit rough. I completely ruined the dash inserts too so I'm looking for some new ones in the Wanted section.

I saw someone that had a CAF behind the upper grille on show, how is that done?

Thats exactly what i thought. I cant even contemplate putting it back to standard for selling. EEEKK.

Thanks. I've made a few decisions.

I'm going to spray the bullets back to black tonight.

I'm going to try and make the front diamond a bit smoother (still black).

I'm also going to try and "save" the dash inserts, doubt I'll be able to though.

Silvervisions will be fitted tonight. I'll post pics when I'm done.

I've left the bullets silver for now.

I've redone the front diamond, it's drying now. It looks a lot better than the first attempt.

I've managed to recover the dash inserts, they look pretty good too.

Silvervisions have been fitted and they look awesome. I've even put my awesome Clio Sport tax disc holder on the car today! Pictures tomorrow once I've cleaned the car.
