Ram for OSX and XP

  Clio 197
I've been running 1GB for a few years now, and I've been pleased with the results.

I'm getting a Macbook, on which I intend to run XP and OSX. Possibly running Vista at a later stage.

To upgrade the ram to 2GB it'll cost an extra £70. Is it worth the upgrade?

I occasionally work with 12MP photos.

The machine will use "shared" graphics, which may require more ram than that I'm used to?

Ta,

ive got 2gig in my xp pc. its much happier when dealing with large files & playing games. if your defo using shared graphics, stick in as much as you can!
vista... i would say 2 gig is the min i would use with it as its very memory hungry.

for £70 its worth the upgrade, would cost more if you wanted to add it later when you find out you might need more memory.

I'd say its definitly worth it. 1gb is the norm even on cheaper casual internet use computers now

I have a MB 2ghz, it originally had 1gb. (2x 512mb b******s!!)

With 2GB its stonkingly fast, the graphics card works better with more ram.
You can actually fit more ram in a macbook if you use special memory.
