Rattling above 4k

Right, 172 has a slight rattling noise above 4k. Doesnt effect driveability what so ever just a rattle, sounds a bit top end between cylinder 2 and 3.

Check the brace that steadies the alternator to the block. Mine was loose and rattled.

Hows your engine mounts Gaz?

I had a bad knocking/rattle sound above 4k on mine. Losen the engine mount and shift it forward. Sorted my noise out!

Fuel rail guard loose?

Fuel rail guard is off, mounts the top one is failrly new and sickaflex filled too, bottom is a fresh poly one, top gearbox mount was new when i got the car november last year.

Alternator bracket has gone as i've mad an aircon delete bracket and pulley for it so thats ruled out. Really strange.
