Is there anything I need to know about re fitting the original exhaust to my 172. It was cut into two pieces when removed so I assume I need a sleeve to re join the parts?
A couple of reasons really. One is Im being screwed on insurance where ever I seem to go. So taking it off is going to save me there.
Also Im thinking of swapping the car in April/May and the dealer wont want the exhaust. So I figured Id kill two birds with one stone and do it before my renewal.
Its pretty simple to take off, ive tried mine, hehehe
Yup, if u want a hand taking that one off im available as im off uni, so just give me a yell, infact the garage downstairs has a ramp if u wanna make it a quick job!! lol
Let me know bout the collar i got it here doign nothign as i baught it for mine just incase i needed to put it bak on.
Sounds good to me, shame Im pushed for time. I need to get it done before next month, but Im out and about every weekend for the next month and a half. Ramps would be a godsend, but I think Im going to have to do it on my neighbours little ramps on the drive next Saturday morning.
to join an old and new original standard exhaust parts togethor you have to cut the exhaust in a specific place.seeing as you are just refitting the original one though as long as it has been cut on a straight section then the renault sleeve will rejoin it.
