Really quiet front components?

Recently wired my headunit into the existing wiring loom for the audio setup in my new valver. My friend did it as he knows much more about that sort of thing than me, it it took a fair bit of playing around with bullit connectors to get the correct speakers fading out when you change the balance/fade from front/rear and left/right on the headunit. At first everything was messed up but in the end we had everything doing exactly what it should when you played about with the balance.

After all that though, ive noticed that my front components are really really quiet.

If you move the fade right to the front so the sub and rear speakers arent doing anything, then the front components can be barely heard, and if you move it back into the centre the rears completely overpower the front, and they are standard renault jobbies in the back.

Can anyone tell me what i might need to do in terms of swapping about wire colours?

Cheers
Tom
