rear bearings keep going......

  182 clio sport
I have a clio 182 and for the past year the rear bearing have been a big problem!!! they have been replaced 5 times this year!!!! i use the car for tarmac track days bout 4/5 times a year.

bearings last went in july this year, which in turn i had to change the stub axel and shock absorber too as well as the bearing obviously!

since then they went again yesterday ( i attended castel combe on saturday and had a track sesson at half 1 )

why do they keep going?? is it a common fault on 182's??

We replace ours after 12 hours of running. Had cheaper ones fail after less than that.

Car is Track only. Genuine Renault ones last much better than pattern parts from our experiance

mine keep going too. ive uesd renault and pattern bearings. Gotta do another one as its started humming again.

cant these be replaced with the "flat roller" bearings (hope its the right name). You know, the ones with the cylinder rollers instead of the ball bearings. Ive heard/read somewhere that these are heavier duty?

BTW, OEM renault are SKF/ SNR bearings. Mine came in a skf box but the bearing is marked snr, much cheaper than renault BTW.

Mine went within a week due to the little spacer not being fitted as was missing. No issues since.

Sorry for the bump, been having problems with my rear bearings.

I replaced both rear disks, pads, bearings and ABS rings, when i put one side on, it went on fine, then the next side went on but was still very lose as if the bearing was fucked, i sent it back and got a new one returned, after fitting the second new one, its still lose?

Could the stub axel be worn or is it something else?

Thanks.

Really don't get why people find this so hard/get so many problems.

I replaced all parts I took off, obviously with new disks etc.

I never took a washer off and didn't put it back on, but I didn't notice a washer to start with... Same on both sides.

The torque is around 30 isn't it?

There is the problem then, you need the little deflector/spacer/washer

Thanks!
